GORE-TEX Technology
Materials
GORE-TEX Paclite® Plus.
IUtilising a 2-layer construction means this men's waterproof jacket has a GORE-TEX membrane that is laminated to an abrasion resistant outer face textile, assuring durable protection. The 2- layer approach means they are thin, lightweight and highly packable. Alongside this they also benefit from GORE-TEX's durably waterproof, windproof and highly breathable trusted technology. This is therefore an excellent waterproof jacket to help keep you protected from any heavy downpours in the mountains, but can be easily stashed away in your back pack when no longer needed.

This jacket is so light and packable that it will be my go-to waterproof top for most days in the hills.

I really like this jacket for its light weight and small pack size. I can hardly feel I’m wearing it and it does a great job at keeping me dry. I’m between sizes and the fit is generous in a medium. In warmer weather or when working hard there is a tendency to get a bit sweaty, which would be helped by pit zips, but I guess the point is that the jacket is supposed to be light meaning this feature has been omitted. It does feel a little delicate given the 2-layer gore tex construction and I probably wouldn’t choose to wear this with a heavy pack or on scrambling days, but for general hill/mountain walking in warm to cool conditions where few layers are needed, it is more than up to the task.
