ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into the Managing Director the Product Line Manager’s primary role is to provide product and market intelligence to the Company with the clear objective of increasing market share. The Product Line Manager will define product, pricing and positioning strategies. The Product Line Manager must be an analytical thinker, possess a strong business acumen, able to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, rationalise data and provide practical recommendations. This role provides continuous learning and development in a work environment that values creativity, personal growth and collaboration. RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and lead analytics work that unlocks business insights and drives sound decision-making on product line topics.
Support and prioritise Product Line Management topics and develop recommendations to fuel sustainable growth, in the market place.
Research and analyse the global marketplace, identify regional specific needs and trends and the brand’s position within the competitive landscape Present product and market space opportunity briefs to Design on seasonal and midterm basis (market opportunity briefs with target prices, preliminary forecasts, competitive benchmarks, and goals) in alignment with the brand vision.
Develop a strategy to drive profitability and line efficiency for your assigned collection(s) / KPI’s need to correlate with overall targets and strategy.
Create the seasonal product line plan in collaboration with and input Design Manager, Material Manager and the Commercial and B2C team.
Research with sales and the market to provide product colour scope and direction.
Present a seasonal report to key stakeholders on product line performance (profitability, model efficiency, etc).
Develop and maintain visual line plans, forecasts by product, previous sales history, current pricing, seasonal target pricing and key market margin.
Create and maintain the key strategic documents (Where to Play) for the product line that detail the product line strategy, target consumers in alignment with the Leadership & Design Team.
Develop seasonal product story and positioning documents in cooperation with Leadership & Design Team.
Works with Design, commercial and Product Marketing on clear sell-in strategy per product and concept.
Manage information flow between commercial, marketing, design and operations so that all parties are aware of relevant issues, concerns and developments and assist in problem solving the issues relevant to the collection.
Create the foundational information and product strategies for the season for Hand-Off to Product Marketing.
Identify and create fundamental information necessary for hand off to Product Marketing and validate all product information including Workbook, Hangtag, Packaging etc.
Point person for the development of sales tools and sell in plans.
Collaborate marketing and commercial teams on strategy- key stories, POP needs, push product, PR stories etc.
Develop and deliver seasonal sales meeting presentations that inspire and deliver the critical information for the sales team to successfully sell the collection and achieve their sales goals.
