Our next generation Gecko VP20+ builds on the key principles of bounce free, long distance comfort whilst hitting the trail with larger loads. New lighter weight BOUNCE CONTROL fabric technology stretches with movement whilst significantly reducing bounce when under increased load. Improvements including lighter and faster harness closure system and updated compression and pole carry design further evolve the Gecko to new levels on performance.

A new and improved Uni-Form Harness system is lighter weight and closer fitting with one-step adjustment for balanced tension and stability.

Polygiene Freshness Odour Control

Polygiene StayFresh™ and OdorCrunch™ work together to keep products fresher for longer. StayFresh uses antimicrobial technology based on silver salts to inhibit the growth of odour-causing bacteria, preventing smells before they start. OdorCrunch takes a different approach, capturing and neutralising odour molecules at the source, rather than just masking them. Combined, these technologies help your pack stay clean, fresh, and ready to use for longer, reducing the need for frequent washing.

  • What has changed with the updated version of the Gecko?

    The Gecko packs have an updated harness system, using a lighter weight bungee and clip system with an equal number of points on either side of the pack for equal adjustment, leading to less bounce and a more comfortable fit. The stretch fabric of the packs has been updated to a recycled Nylon that provides more stretch horizontally for more volume and less stretch vertically for reduced bounce. The POLYGIENE treatment has been updated to a combination technology of StayFresh™ and OdorCrunch™ which stops bacterial growth and eliminates odours. On all vest packs excluding the VP20+ the elasticated strap has been removed, reducing bulk. The mesh of the front pockets has been replaced with a lighter weight stretch fabric, reducing weight. A bungee loop has been added to hold Soft Flasks in place in their pockets.
