About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Part-Time IT Projects Manager to join our team. At Montane we push boundaries in performance, building timeless and versatile product that enables people to achieve their goals in the outdoors. This is a hands on role that will support the business by ensuring that our IT solutions and infrastructure are fit for purpose to achieve our ambitious business goals. The IT Projects Manager will manage and deliver the day-to-day IT Operations for the business across our head office, warehouse and factory outlet. The IT Projects Manager will also work with necessary stakeholders and IT solution providers to manage and deliver the implementation of vital IT infrastructure and software, that will maximise business processes, efficiencies and operations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of hands on management of IT support and solutions in a similar retail/wholesale business. They will be passionate about identifying IT improvements and solutions that support business efficiencies and processes and will have excellent organisation and deadline management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day IT operations, networks and computer systems for all company premises.
  • Ownership of the company IT strategy.
  • Manage company IT support contracts.
  • Responsible for the company IT budget by creating project budgets and allocating resources where necessary.
  • Set and maintain robust disaster recovery procedures.
  • Use project management software to plan and monitor all projects.
  • Report on project progress and timelines, measuring OTIF delivery.
  • Manage company SFTP links which provide.
  • Manage system security protocols.
  • Ensure that employees are following computer use, information security and privacy policies.
  • Work closely with department heads to understand and develop system reporting capabilities.

Key Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of managing and implementing day to day IT solutions and IT projects in a similar commercial, wholesale or retail business.
  • A solid understanding of IT systems, networking and computer software.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Logical problem solver who can operate under constraints.
  • Excellent organisation and deadline management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Continuous improvement focused.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
