Introducing Simon Roberts
Simon is a relative newcomer to ultra-running. He has an easy-going affableness that belies a ferocious competitive drive and natural talent. Having enjoyed some positive results in 2019, lockdown provided the perfect opportunity to knuckle down and train.
Since emerging from this chrysalis of endurance, he began to enjoy the fruits of his labour, using his newfound fitness to supplement his tenacity. 2021 saw seen a slew of wins across a range of hi-profile races, culminating in a win at the 2021 Montane Dragon's Back. 2022 has also got off to a brilliant start for Simon who has gone on to become the first winner of the newly launched Spine Challenger North route. He’s looking forward to competing in the Montane Cheviot Goat in March where he will no doubt achieve great things!
