A great soft shell jacket that is perfect for my needs
I've been looking for the right soft shell top for a while and having tried cheaper options decided to go high end (although there are plenty more expensive than the Montane Tenacity XT so perhaps mid range is more accurate). Although I have yet to wear it in adverse conditions, my first impressions are overwhelmingly positive. The adjustable cuffs, hood and base of the jacket allow you to adjust it and therefore create a perfect fit. It feels tough, durable and yet lightweight and stretchy, which means great ease of movement. It looks understated and stylish, so as good in the city as on a hillside desolate. I am 6 ft 2 inches tall with a slim build (32 inch waist and 39 inch chest) and the size medium is a good fit but with space underneath for at least two layers, and a great length too. I can't wait to try it in the rain (it's showerproof not waterproof so not expecting miracles).
