About the Role:
Looking for your next retail career adventure? We are opening a new Factory Shop in Lancaster and have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to support our Store Management Team to lead and motivate our new store team in the successful opening and evolution of our new store which is due to open later this summer.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
At Montane we get excited about inspiring and enabling our customers to do more in the outdoors. In store we want to create a fun and inspiring environment for our team where every member is passionate about the brand, the product and providing excellent customer service. The Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Store Management Team with running the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, delivery of excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and leading the team to maximise store performance.
The Supervisor will help lead the team to success by:
- Managing the store and team in the absence of management.
- Helping to create an in store culture that empowers store team members to provide excellent customer service.
- Developing fantastic product knowledge in order to provide customers with product information and advice.
- Addressing any customer queries and issues promptly and in line with brand standards.
- Knowing store targets and driving sales to achieve them.
- Working with the Store Management to identify and implement strategies and local marketing to drive sales and increase customer footfall.
- Support with stock management, stock rotation, sell out.
- Support with store merchandising, visual refresh and seasonal switch over.
- Conducting administrative, health and safety, security procedures relating to the store.
- Ensuring that the store is a safe and secure environment.
- Overseeing opening and closing procedures.
- Implementing effective stock loss, cash loss and cash management procedures.
- Supporting, training and coaching other team members to deliver high standards of performance and customer service.
- Keeping up to date with market trends, competitor activities and industry developments.
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of 1 years of supervisory retail experience, preferably in the outdoor
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- A positive and proactive mindset.
- The ability to lead others, take responsibility and make decisions when required.
- Fantastic communication skills, verbal, written, listening.
- Good commercial awareness and mindset.
- A team player approach to work.
- A keen interest in the outdoors.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Location: Lancaster.
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
Contract: Full Time (37.5), rota based including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
