The Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra (MYAU): 02 to 14 February, 2025

202360.7197° N, 135.0523° W

Welcome to the world’s coldest and toughest ultra race. 640km of snow, ice, temperatures as low as -40°C and relentless wilderness… the MYAU is an incredible undertaking.

Based in Yukon, north west Canada, the race route follows the trail of the Yukon Quest Dog Race. Where dog teams once slid and scrambled, now human power chases up the trail. This is a brutal non-stop race across one of Canada’s most remote regions. As of 2025 the 340km race will start in Teslin and follow the Dena Cho trail to Faro. Athletes participating in the 640km race will follow the same route but once they reach Ross River they will add an out-and-back on the North Canol Road.
