About the role
Fantastic opportunity to join Montane as Social Media Manager and be part of an ambitious in house digital team.
With support from the Digital Director you will develop and drive the social media strategy for the Montane brand. You will be responsible for planning, curating, and delivering content across primary social channels aligning content to the global calendar, events and races working closely with brand marketing and ecommerce teams to support the D2C strategy, follower growth and brand awareness. You will regularly review and report on content and channel success and help support wider business learning about the importance and benefits of Social Media
Responsibilities
(Including and not limited to)
- Lead in the content creation delivery relating to social to support primary channels Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Brief in content requirements aligned with campaign messaging and digital marketing calendar taking into consideration content types and channel algorithm behaviours.
- Build out ‘always on’ content that underpins brand values and authenticity
- Deliver on brand messaging which considers user journey and brand guidelines/ tone of voice demonstrating strong copywriting skills.
- Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager you are responsible for aligning the social element of the digital calendar; capturing campaign, event and commercial activity to ensure social messaging is aligned with email and website content.
- Ensure Montane social channels have a presence at Montane events and races by providing consistent event coverage which is authentic, inspiring and engaging.
- Develop an approach to ‘influencers’ and ‘athletes’ that supports brand visibility and channel growth.
- Produce regular reports analysing success and learnings from strong and poor performing content.
- Continue to grow social media audience prioritising UK, DE and US looking for opportunities to capture consumer data and grow follower numbers.
- Ensure you keep up to date with the ever changing approach to social platforms and algorithm sharing social media trends upcoming changes with the wider business.
- Manage the paid for budget working closely with the Digital Director and wider agencies to ensure strong ROI whilst taking learnings from successes.
- Develop the LinkedIn platform to support internal activities, trade and direct to consumer initiatives.
Skills and experience
- 3-5 Years experience in a social media channel and/or community management role agency based or in house.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience covering events and or planning event content briefs
- Managing an external social agency.
- This role requires an exceptional level of attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- Able to demonstrate effective and timely multi-level communication.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent Role.
