Further. Faster. Podcast S2 Ep7 - Pedal4Parks

First ever UK cycle over sea and land, from the Orkney Islands to the Isles of Scilly through 6 national parks, on their mission to protect the UK’s National Parks.  Pedal4Parks (Isaac Kenyon, Sal Montgomery, Alex Pierrot, Lukas Haitzmann and Alex Egan) have gone the extra sea mile, by extending the traditional John O' Groats to Lands End cycle to include the islands (Orkney Islands and Isles of Scilly) at each extreme, the first time anyone has attempted this.

Welcome to Further Faster in association with Montane. In this episode, recorded on the day COP26 opened, host Daniel Neilson spoke to two guys who have just made a film – 14 Days South: Over Sea & Land – highlighting the good news stories of climate solutions across the UK.

Pedal4Parks is a group of five friends who, over 14 days, cycled from the Orkney to the Isles of Scilly through six national parks and speaking to a staggering 26 organisations involved in wildly differing solutions to climate change.

Issac Kenyon, one of the five eco-adventurers explains why they embarked on this huge project. Also joining him is filmmaker Kev Merrey from SkyRise Productions who talks about the challenges of filming both the adventure and the interviews of so many people.

They start with news, the film is being shown at COP26! Eager to find out more? Listen to our podcast to find out more about their incredible journey across the British Isles by bike.
