The Altitude Centre offers advanced performance testing, such as VO2Max and lactate threshold testing, to accurately gauge fitness levels, identify strengths and weaknesses, and build tailored training plans. Their specialised facilities and equipment help simulate race conditions, allowing runners to acclimatise to various environments, from high altitudes to extreme heat. Together, Montane and The Altitude Centre offer a comprehensive approach to training, helping runners prevent injuries, optimise their performance, and confidently tackle the gruelling demands of ultra marathons.

Altitude Training

Altitude training is known to improve endurance performance. Training at altitude enhances oxygen delivery to the muscles - boosting endurance and overall performance. You can train at The Altitude Centre or have equipment delivered to your home.

Heat Training

Acclimatise to the heat and/or humidity of actual race conditions - now available at The Altitude Centre. Their experts will plan your heat acclimation based on your individual responses to the heat and your goal race, with your training monitored via state of the art core body temperature analysis. Sweat tests are also available to accurately design your hydration strategy for your chosen event.

Performance Testing

Fitness tests like VO2Max and lactate threshold testing allow accurate assessment of your training zones, ensuring you train smart as well as hard.

Coaching Services

Coaching services tailored to ultra runners. These services can be done in person at their facility or remotely, offering flexibility and convenience, and cover all aspects of your training including strength & conditioning, mobility and the other 1 percenters to optimise your preparation.
