Dragon’s Back Race

Dubbed the ‘world’s toughest mountain race’, The Montane Dragon’s Back Race is not for the faint-hearted. Traversing the rugged spine of Wales, racers begin at Conwy Castle before taking on a gruelling 6-day multi-stage journey towards Cardiff Castle. In between they tackle 380km of distance and 17,400m of ascent.

After putting racers through their paces on the inaugural race in 1992 (hear from the original winner Helen Diamantides in our podcast), this film follows the first race after a 20-year hiatus.
